Board of Directors
To Climb
Mount Everest

Well, not exactly, but sometimes raising the funds we need to keep the Senior Center running can feel like we’re climbing a mountain!

As the number of aging adults increases, so does their need for services. Without your support, it is hard for us to continue to carry out our mission of helping older adults maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life. Your generous contributions help us continue to provide the services, information and support to Seniors in our area. See Kelly’s Blog for more details.

Again this year, the Senior Center Board of Directors and Trustees will match your contributions dollar for dollar, up to $2,000 in total. Your $25 donation with a $25 matching contribution means the Senior Center will receive $50 in total. Send your donation to the Stephenson County Senior Center, 121 N Harlem, Freeport, IL 61032

Our Vision – Expanding senior horizons

Welcome
The Stephenson County Senior Center is a multi-service agency and designated focal point, providing programs and services to persons age 55+ and the caregivers to help them maintain their independence and quality of life.
At the Stephenson County Senior Center we believe in your right to independence and self-determination.

Senior Center Receives Funds from Freeport Community Foundation

The Senior Center is grateful to receive a generous gift of $5,000 from Freeport Community Foundation’s Matthew A. Marvin Fund.  This award will be combined with additional donations, previously received, to purchase a pre-owned minivan to add to the Center’s Transportation Program’s fleet of vehicles.  The Center is committed to providing free transportation to Seniors in Freeport and surrounding communities.
The Freeport Community Foundation (FCF) is one of nearly 800 community foundations in the United States.  FCF is a publicly supported, nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that serves Freeport and surrounding communities.  Individuals, families, businesses, and organizations create permanent charitable funds that help our community meet the challenges of changing times and to improve the lives of those living in our community.  The FCF invests and then administers these funds through a grant process to 501c3 charitable organizations that serve our community, thus improving the quality of life in our area.  The FCF makes giving easy with the best combination of tax savings and philanthropic choices for donors.
