For several years the Senior Center along with FHN Top50 and the Stephenson County Health Dept. has sponsored a senior health fair in the fall. In some years the Senior Center has also sponsored a senior living fair. Both events have proven to be very popular with people coming from all over northwest Illinois. Building on this base, the Senior Center, along with its partners, has decided to combine and expand the two events.
What can you expect from the new senior expo? First, we expect to offer the same health screening services and flu shots. Second, we plan to have series of educational seminars on topics important to those considering retirement and the retired. Third, there will be a variety of exhibitors covering wellness, nutrition, senior housing, professional services and more. We have space for 80 exhibitors. Finally, refreshments will be available so that you can enjoy the day.
Return of Senior Transportation
Senior Center will again provide transportation services for seniors needing additional assistance.
