Mission Statement
Assuring access to resources that older adults need to achieve and maintain independence, dignity and quality of life through advocacy, linkage and direct service provision
The Stephenson County Senior Center is a diverse multi-service agency and designated focal point that provides programs and services to persons 55 years and older and their caregivers. Our objective is to help seniors to maintain their independence and quality of life.
We believe that seniors have the right to independence and self-determination.
We can help you to continue to live in your own home, provide ways to meet people and help you to solve problems when you don’t know where else to turn.
Last year over 6,000 people received assistance through the Senior Center. Most of our services are available in both Stephenson and Jo Daviess counties.
Services are confidential and available to everyone, regardless of your income.
Our programs meet the diverse needs of older adults, from those that are constantly on the go to those who now prefer a quieter life. Services are available to people with disabilities.
The Senior Center is not just for the seniors. We are here to assist families, friends and neighbors who are concerned about the older adults in their lives. We can link caregivers with a variety of alternative services available in your community
